Bethan Leanne Wood has commented on the idea of a Wales Honours System but as you haven't I wonder if you support such an idea? I personally fail to see how this is simply a waste of time and money, and yet another example of an obsession within the Welsh political elite to nation-build and bother with things that really don't matter to the people of Wales.
I would tend to agree with you, that's why I haven't commented at all. Its not something that I think is a priority for Wales. Of course this is not to say that theres a lot of people who work really hard for their communities, and an idea of a non elitist system is noble. But how would it work, and who would determine who gets what honour?

Thanks for the response. Things like this bother me becase they are totally irrelevant. Yes of course I agree with you that there are many hard working people in communities, many of whom work for altruistic and compassionate reasons but I would question where you draw the line and as you rightly suggest who exactly would decide. Frankly I am against this politicians really need to start focusing more on the real issues, but I must say your comments on this are encouraging so thanks again. Though perhaps it wouldn't do any harm for you to comment on this? Otherwise if you don't we are likely to see, as is often the case, bad policy bandwagon to such an extent that it can't be stopped!
Prince Charles is worthy of more honour than the present immature shower in Cardiff Bay!
