Out and about

I've had a productive few days. Neath Round Table Carnival took place on Saturday, and Plaid had a stall along with other local groups. I managed to go around some of the stalls to introduce myself ( in between winning some pickled onions and a meal for two at a local pub at the Samaritans stall!) I thought the day would be a wash out due to the awful weather we've had recently, but the rain held off. A good day all in all. A few Labour Councillors braved it over to the stall to talk to us about the ins and outs of the coalition deal. They were quite positive about it all to be honest.

Today I have been out leafleting in Llansamlet for the by-election on Thursday. I won't be as cocky as Peter Black has been on his Facebook site who states that he is 'looking forward to winning the by-election on Thursday' but I think we've worked hard. We obviously need to work harder all year round, and get activistis movitated, but I'm sure that is true of all parties. It's important to prepare the ground, especially if there is a snap General Election in October- which is quite possible.

In other news, Ieuan Wyn Jones was in Stormont today for the British Irish Council. A great Nationalist get together, don't you think?! I must admit it was quite surreal seeing Ieuan Wyn Jones standing there with McGuiness and Paisley, but another 'historic' day for devolution all the same!

Rwyf wedi cael cwpwl o ddiwrnode weddol prysur. Ar ddydd Sadwrn roedd Gwyl 'Round Table' yng Nghastell Nedd, ac roedd gan Plaid Cymru stondyn yno gyda grwpiau lleol eraill. Llwyddais I gerdded o gwmpas nifer o’r stondynau yn cyflwyno fy hun ( rhwng ennill can o picls a phryd o fwyd am ddau mewn tafarn lleol ar stondyn y Samariaid!) Roeddwn I’n tybio y fyddai’r diwrnod yn cael ei ddifetha gan law yn sgil y tywydd ofnadwy da ni wedi bod yn cael yn ddiweddar, ond roedd o’n ddiwrnod digon pleserus. Dydd llwyddiannus rhwng pob dim. Daeth cwpwl o Gynghorwyr Llafur I siarad gyda ni ar y stondyn ynghylch hynt a helynt y glymblaid. Roedden nhw’n weddol bositif amdano, I fod yn onest.

Heddiw rwy wedi bod allan yn dosbarthu taflennu ar gyfer is-etholiad Llansamlet sydd yn digwydd dydd Iau. Fyddai ddim mor hyderus a Peter Black sydd wedi dweud ar Facebook ei fod yn edrych ymlaen at ennill yr is-etholiad, ond rwy’n credo ein bod wedi gweithio’n galed. Yn amlwg, mae’n rhaid I ni weithio’n galed drwy’r flwyddyn, a rhoi hwb I actifyddion, ond rwy’n siwr bod hwn yn gwir o bob Plaid gwleidyddol. Mae’n bwysig gweithredu’n lleol, yn enwedig nawr os bod etholiad brys San Steffan ym mis Hydref, sydd yn digon posib.

Newyddion arall yw bod Ieuan Wyn Jones wedi bod yn Stormont heddi ar gyfer y Cyngor Prydain- Iwerddon. Gret gweld cymaint o Genedlaetholwyr o gwmpas y bwrdd ife?! Rhaid dweud mi oedd o'n swrel gweld Ieuan Wyn Jones yn sefyll yno gyda McGuiness a Paisley, ond eto, diwrnod 'hanesyddol' arall ar gyfer gwleidyddiaeth datganoledig.
